Out of an abundance of caution and with guest safety as our top priority, Erase Studio & Gallery has made the decision to postpone the Opening Night of For Rhode Island, By Rhode Island originally scheduled for Saturday evening to now take place this Thursday, February 12 at 6:30PM.

The City of Providence has announced a Citywide Parking Ban ahead of an incoming winter storm, effective Friday, February 6 at 12:00 AM through Saturday evening.

The Providence Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) and Department of Public Works (DPW) have indicated that hazardous conditions, below-freezing temperatures, and active snow removal efforts are expected during this time.

Given these conditions, and navigating parking downtown, we believe postponing the opening is the safest and most responsible choice for our artists, guests, and community.

New Opening Night Details

Thursday, February 12, 5:30–8:00 PM - USE 123 MAIN STREET ENTRANCE (DOOR NEXT TO XO CAFE) Go right up the stairs and follow the signs.

We are deeply grateful for the understanding and support shown by our community. For Rhode Island, By Rhode Island is a celebration of local artists, neighbors, and shared place — and we look forward to gathering together soon under safer conditions to properly honor the work in this exhibition.

Please continue to stay warm, travel safely, and follow city guidance as the storm passes. We can’t wait to welcome you to the gallery next week!
